The Kings Church Tarpots Rebuild Restore Renew

Isaiah 61

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners

Rebuild, Restore, Renew

During our time together as church we have come back to the passage from Isaiah 61 many times. The most significant part of the passage for us has lead to this three-word sequence, REBUILD, RESTORE RENEW which is taken from verse 4.

I believe strongly that this is a word to our church but also to THE church about what Father is doing at this time.

There will be material to follow but just read the passage for yourself and ponder.

bullet

What in our lives needs to be rebuilt? Relationships, hopes and dreams. The passage refers to 'ancient ruins' we need to consider the values and principles that our nation has been built on which now lay in ruins, Father is not against development but His principles do not change and we are reaping the fruit of our disregard for the ancient principles, its about time we let him rebuild the city, put back the walls of safety, the boundary of the safe place.

bullet

What in our lives needs to be restored? There are places in our lives that have been trampled by attack, Father wants to restore them to the former glory. There are those who once we 'in church' but have drifted away for various reasons, restoration is on it way! There was a specific command to those in Bible times to return to the commandments and re-establish the ways that were laid out long ago, allowing these to be restored brought joy and freedom to the people, not legalism and repression, lets let Him restore His ways.

bullet

What needs to be renewed? There were specific instruction sin scripture about the re-establishing the cities that once the temple and walls were rebuild and His ways restored that they renew the gates which included the procedures for ensuring the gates were closed at night, but also that righteous government be established, that justice be seen among the people. We want to see in our day renewed safety for the people, renewed emphasis on righteousness and justice and renewed emphasis the boundaries of righteous living.

Ponder these in your heart, allow Father to speak to you about how He is shaping your days now and for the future.

Crossing the threshold [Year 2003]

Philippians 3

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. 15 All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. 16 Only let us live up to what we have already attained. 17 Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. 18 For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. 4:1 Therefore, my brothers, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you should stand firm in the Lord, dear friends!

This is His time to cross a new threshold, to close the door behind and press forward towards the goal. There is real power in understanding these words: ' I press on to take hold of that FOR WHICH Christ Jesus took hold of me.' He took hold of me for a purpose, I now choose to take hold of that same purpose and strain towards its completion, the goal of my existence in Christ. Its not just that He took hold of me, but that he did it for a reason, if I can see that same reason, I will find fulfillment in my life,  my family/relationships, my work, and my church/home life.

The Year of Jubilee [Year 2002]

Much has been said of the Jubilee year. We pray God's richest blessing on the Royal family, in particular Queen Elizabeth.

But, there is much to say spiritually about the jubilee year. If you take the time to read Leviticus chapters 25-27, you will see a time that was set aside to see the land restored to fruitfulness. Much is said in the church about this but I believe we need to be clear of Father's heart in this time. In a nutshell:

bullet

The seventh year was fallow, a rest, as the days of the week.

bullet

The Seven seventh (49 years) was to be followed by a year of restoration. The 50th Year Jubilee were all property and possessions were to return to the rightful owner.

bullet

Nothing on the land was to be planted or reaped, Father promises to supply the food from other sources.

bullet

If food was not to be harvested then Father would provide for 3 years, the 49th year being a fallow year, the Jubilee year and the following year which would take time to grow!

bullet

Verse 23 says that land would not be sold into perpetual ownership because it is His!!

bullet

The only requirement he puts on the blessing OBEDIENCE, have you done everything he has said?

bullet

Chapter 26 teaches on HOW TO OBEY.

bullet

Chapter 27 teaches HOW TO TAKE BACK.

God is speaking about a time of restoration, to restore into rightful ownership, to see loved ones return to His kingdom is going to take some obedience to Him on our part and some careful instruction on how to see what has been sold into slavery and taken into 'enemy hands' brought back into HIS GLORIOUS OWNERSHIP.
